WMFB Radio Free Daytona

TIM GRANGER, OWNER and Morning Show Host of Tropical Winds Broadcasting. Tim formed TWB in March 2004. He decided that mainstream radio ownership was too top heavy with rules and regulations and Tim thought that the future of radio was with internet radio and thus TWB. Tim has had the idea of not only dumping the dial but to start a family of internet radio stations that will provide the best in entertaiment as well as providing the most accurate updates in news and weather. That happened on September 26, 2006 when WESH Newschannel 2 an NBC station in Orlando, Florida allowed us to become an official radio partner. During the 2004 hurricane season, Radio Free Daytona was damaged and rose above the disaster and Tim turned the grim sight into Radio Free Daytona's most shining moment. We are now an official reporting station for the NASA Space Shuttle program. On May 31, 2008, we attended our first live launch at KSC as official credentialed media personnel. That became a milestone that only once was just a dream. Tropical Winds Broadcasting will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. We can only hope that you'll be there for the ride. PAMELA LEE, Our News Director. Pamela came to us from West Virginia and we are excited to welcome such talent that the mainstream media outlet lost out on. Pamela is an experienced broadcaster and enjoys working stories that impact your lives. She worked many natural disasters from blizzards to tonadoes, ice storms to hurricanes.
